Participant: Abdullah Rashid.
Venue preparation:
Grouping of chairs round tables

Agenda:

·         Few parking areas.

·         No lighting in the parking area .

·         Improper use of parking by students.

·         There is no space between the parking.

Minutes

1.    Abdullah thinks that the problem is with the few parking an places, but the problem is with the students because they use the parking area in a improper way. So to solve this problem Abdullah suggested that we have to involve the police to get the students to park their cars in a proper way.

2.    Abdullah added that there are non-used areas in the campus, so we can build extra parking areas there.

3.    The chairman Mohamed suggested that they build a parking building that can contain more cars, but Abdullah interrupted Mohamed by adding that we should provide golf carts for the students to deliver them to their class.

4.    Also Mohamed says that there is a machine that can take only 3 parking spaces to provide 10 parking space.

5.    Abdullah came back with an idea that we can build another level of parking area in the present parking area, and Mohamed proposed that we can take the playing ground and convert it to parking till we finish the new car parking building and he suggested renting in the al Jazeera club.

6.    Abdullah also thinks that we should penalize students who use parking in an improper way and link the violation to the student’s record.

7.    The chairman said that also we have a problem of lighting in the parking area, so Abdullah says we have to motivate the students to build lights that work by the sun’s energy.

Recommendations:

1-    The first solution is that we will rent the stadium in the Al Jazeera club and use the playground area for parking and build a second level on the existed parking area behind the mosque.

2-     We recommend to choose the penalty system and to link it with the student record.

3-    Also we have to light up the parking area by using renewable energy and by motivating the student to build those lights

interview Assessment

Saleem Al Amri H00134725 was interviewed for a job; the interviewers were Hedley, Abdullah Rashid H00237186, and Mohammed Thani H000128009. At the beginning Saleem was comfortable and he was confident about himself; he gave a full description about himself. Saleem is a 23 years old ambitious man. He has finished his diploma in the Higher College of Technology. But he hasn’t been treated well in his previous job. After a few minutes interviewing it looked like Saleem started to hesitate and he started to lose his confidence with the unexpected questions that he had. Saleem’s preparation was to answer all the questions that were related to how well he will do in the job and if it was worth employing him. But, Saleem didn’t know anything about the company background; he only knew about the most popular thing, that ADNOC is an oil company. Abdullah the interviewer asked Saleem the hardest question, which was “What is ADNOC Company?” Saleem didn’t see that coming , so he was very uncomfortable with the question, but he did manage himself to react fast and reverse the question, and that was a good point. Finally, I think that Saleem deserves this job because of his education and his self-confidence; also he is ambitious and that would help him to start innovating in the company, and it seems that Saleem has the quality of a leader, because whenever he faces any hard question he could find a solution that assures us that he is worth the job.
